Jang Koal
Born in 1989, Jang Koal / @jangkoal is a Korean pop-surrealist artist known for her original layered paintings and illustration style. Seductive and mysterious, Koal’s cat-eyed femme fatales are the protagonists of a new tale of women, animated and inspired by Asian culture and elaborated by Koal with East Asian painting techniques on hanji, a traditional Korean handmade paper. Since 2013, her works have been exhibited in prestigious international galleries in Seoul and Los Angeles.
